The idea is that Gossip Girl posts about them in her blog making them the new Upper East Side scandal. Nate should still be dating Blair and, please, no Chuck/Blair (not even notions of it, because, even though I can accept every pairing the show keep throwing at us I can't stomach Chuck/Blair) and somehow someone gets a pic of them making out and sends it to GG.


well... the idea actually is that GG just gossips about them to the Upper East Siders (and showing their reactions to this delicious gossip) and not just to us, readers.

i am in complete awe of that film. i saw the first one at the cinema over here in england. it was the most mesmirising, amazing film i have ever seen. heath was truly phenominal in it. i'm quite speechless at the moment. he played the joker so truthfully and you could see how he gave it his all. i waited until the end to see the tribute made to him, despite screen six rapidly clearing. his performance was the best i've seen by any actor, and i'm not just saying that because he's my favourite. his wicked character was chilling, and yet throughout it all, i wanted the joker to succeed in his malicious acts. i wish heath were alive to see it ; he was snatched far too soon, and so many hearts have broken over him. i am no christian, but i wish more than anything for there to be a better place, because he so deserves to be there now. i'm going to see it again, as soon as possible. there's something so strong within me that just wants to collapse in heartbreak, but i'm containing my tears at the moment. i thought i understood the severity of the loss, but my heart is breaking all over again. heath, i miss you so much. it's just not fair.

We have a local "independant" newspaper that is released every Wednesday here, called the Omaha City Weekly, and it's main focus is on music/theatre/movies/entertainment in general. What a nice surprise it was today to see that the cover picture was one of Heath as the Joker, and that the main article inside was regarding The Dark Knight. I typed up a paragraph that focused on Heath and his performance and felt that I should share it with you all.

So? What's your point exactly? Being as he was one of my favourite actors, and The Dark Knight was, sadly, one of his last movies... of course I'm going to go see it!

It's frustrating to keep hearing that line... Surely they would go to see a movie with their favourite actor in it, right?

Anyone else get this?

So I went and saw The Dark Knight again earlier today. It was even more amazing the second time around. And no less heartbreaking.

I usually like staying all the way through the credits of a film, just because I like seeing the names of everyone involved and whatnot. Sort of a courtesy, or paying respect or something, I guess. I haven't been able to stay through them either times I've seen it now, though. The first, on opening night, my group wanted to leave as soon as the movie was over, and I only managed to persuade a few to stay with me at least until the dedication, before we left. Today, I made it about a fourth of the way through, before the people who were supposed to clean up afterwards came in, and just stood at the bottom of the theatre and stared at me (I realize it's their job to clean, and they want to get it done quickly, and people like me are annoying, but really...). Since I was the only one still there, I got up and left.

And then I had to go hide in a stall in the bathroom for a few minutes to try and keep myself from crying.

I think it just started to hit me then, that this film is the last one I'll ever see Heath's name in the credits for again. And it just really, really cuts me inside.

I realize this probably sounds ridiculous and stupid to some people, to mourn over someone you never knew (I at least know that you guys here understand ♥), but... When you lose one of your heroes, someone who affected you very, very deeply, who literally changed your life for the better... especially when it was someone as amazingly talented and good as he was, it just hurts you. It hurts you very, very much.

I only just realized that it's been exactly six months since his death. I still can't believe it, in a way. I keep expecting someone to announce that it's all one great big joke, or something. I just... I don't understand it. I'm not sure I ever will.

I don't know if I was ever the sort of person to believe that things happen for a reason, but I couldn't believe anything farther from that now. Because there is no reason for such an amazing human being to no longer be here among us today. It just makes no sense. There's nothing to try and even make sense of.

... I think that's enough blubbering out of me for now. It's late. And I need to go find some tissues now, anyways.

Sorry to bum you all out. I just... needed a place to talk, where I knew people would understand.

This small space on the corner of Bedford and Lorimer is tentatively called The Five Leaves, and will be opened by one of Heath Ledger's close friends. The late actor, who's last movie is obviously doing pretty well, was a key backer of the the project and was going to be a full partner. His untimely death put the project in jeopardy, but his father became executor of the estate and because he knew how much the project meant to heath, he released the funds to finish construction. The name Five Leaves is a working name, and comes from Swan cigarette papers that tell you when there are just five left in a package.
